Calorie-Based Diet is So Misleading

Pernah lihat show Dr. Oz yg bintang tamunya Dr. Mark Hyman, bilang bhw calorie-based diet is so misleading. Now I fully agree.

Krn tubuh kita memproses makanan bukan berdasarkan kalori, contoh healthy fat vs trans fat, walau kalorinya sama tp diterima tubuh dgn cara berbeda.

During #cleangut program, my weight dropped almost daily, while I eat heaps of healthy fat: avocado, nut butter, coconut oil, coconut milk.

Fasting from refined sugar and grains also helps my metabolism back to its nature. A fat burner not a sugar burner.

Dulu mengira bhw slowing down metabolism semata2 faktor usia, ternyata bukan. It’s what we eat over the years that changed us.

Reversing our metabolism back to fat burner instead of sugar burner is possible, regardless our age. Takes time, but possible.

Now, with just a bit of extra activity, I can sweat like doing cardio, yet still with a stable energy throughout the day.

Dr. Junger yg bikin #cleangut program adlh seorg fitness trainer, ahlinya six-pack, yet he still got sick, until he changed the way he eat.

Garam in moderation, tapi yg paling penting adlh ganti garamnya, garam dapur is harmful. Ganti jadi sea salt atau Himalayan salt.

Dan yg PALING saya respek dr program #cleangut adlh praktek meditasi yg jg jd rekomendasi harian. It understands the mind-body connection.

28 hari #cleangut program mmg lama, tp waktu yg lama akn ubah gaya hidup kita, ketimbang 3 hari detoks jus doang, it won’t touch our habit.

Saya mungkin msh akan konsumsi grains (nasi mah pasti!) nantinya, tp ingin bye-bye sm refined sugar. Masih banyak pemanis lain yg lbh baik.

Yg benar2 gak bikin sugar spike: stevia, lakanto. Yg jalan tengah: gula jawa, gula aren, agave, kurma.

#cleangut bukan utk vegetarian tok, ada jalur non-vegetarian jg. Syarat utama utk semua makanan selama program: hrs organik.

Btw, Dr Junger sih berprinsip bhw manusia itu omnivora. Dia bilang kl org mau jd vegetarian/vegan hrs punya PhD di bidang nutrisi spy bener🙂

.. dan belakangan saya setuju dgn tweet sblm ini. Makin digali, makin ngerti bhw jd vegetarian/vegan yg benar itu gak gampang dan blm tentu cocok.

Jd omnivora tapi kalo serampangan jg sama aja sih. Malah bisa lebih parah. Intinya, we need to enrich ourselves with nutrition knowledge.
